Purpose

Shows the number of bars that have elapsed since a MA crossover has occurred. Useful for scanning large number of stocks for recent MA crossovers. The same indicator can be used on both Charts and RadarScreen.

Bars Long – the number of bars that have elapsed since a Long trigger occurred. Sort this column descending to see which stocks have just generated a Long trigger.

Bars Short – the number of bars that have elapsed since a Short trigger occurred. Sort column Bars Short descending to see which stocks have just generated a Short trigger.

By sorting either of these two columns in descending order, you can review all the stocks that have recently had a MA crossover. If a chart is loaded with the same indicator, and the Global link color is set to the same color on the RS window and the Chart window, then clicking on the Symbols in the RS indicator will allow the MA cross over to be shown on the corresponding chart, as shown below. In this way, many stocks can be monitored and reviewed very efficiently.

Note

When formatting the indicator, do not forget to check the “Load additional bars” box, under the General Tab, checking and set “Additional bars to load” to at least the length of the longest moving average used in the cross over.
